![]() @lolstorm Don't know the precise nature of your problem but please note that because of security risks inherent in hibernation and memory dumps, DiskCryptor blocks these processes in some instances. In particular see (2nd indented bullet following 3rd full paragraph) which states: If the system partition is not encrypted, and when there are mounted encrypted disks present in the system, then the use of hibernation mode and saving of memory dump (on system crash) are blocked [by DiskCryptor], and in case if there are no mounted encrypted disks present, then before commencing hibernation or writing memory dump, the password cache is being automatically cleared from memory. See cited wiki section for additional info. Hope this helps. You don't need great skills to have a WinPE. Tip: It's best to install to the root directory if you're installing it to your portable device (D:, E:, or similar) or the base directory of your cloud drive (C: Users Username Dropbox, C: Users Username Google Drive, or similar) for easiest access. Enjoy using the PortableApps.com Platform and apps! ![]() Macrium Reflect Free Edition, and possibly some other good applications can make a WinPE for the average user. The hard part is getting Diskcryptor working on it. Disckryptor drivers need to be registered, and they need to be loaded during the loading of Windows. In other words, Diskcryptor is not portable. My method of building a Diskcryptor WinPE is to graft Diskcryptor onto a Macrium WinPE. Another post of mine somewhere explains how to do it. If Diskcryptor were portable, the grafting should be as easy as dragging and dropping a folder. Instead, the grafting involves extracting a Windows image, then inserting Diskcryptor files into the extracted folders, then changing a registry file from the image, and then compressing the extracted stuff back into a new Windows image. The Windows image is an archive file containing most of the files for a very light version of Windows, called a WinPE. On a Macrium rescue drive, the Windows image is named boot.wim, and it is by far the largest file on the drive. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
